Is Burger King Offering Another Avenue to For Cyber Bullies?
January 22nd 2009 06:30
“Hey you aren’t worth as much as free food.” That is what you will be told if your friends decide to sacrifice you in The Whopper Sacrifice, the latest Burger King offering on Facebook.
Burger King is offering Facebook members a free Whopper Burger if they dump 10 friends. Usually on Facebook you can anonymously dump your friends, but if you decide to install the BK Application, your friends are informed they are dumped with a note telling them they are not worth as much as free food. If that does not make you feel bad enough, the application also adds a message in the news feed, so everyone else knows you have been dumped for a Whopper.
All right maybe I am exaggerating by calling it cyber bullying, maybe adults can just tell their friends they are going to dump them, and then re friend them once munching on their Whopper Burger.
Although I can imagine some adding people they hardly know as friends just to dump them, which may be heart breaking for some teenagers.
If you are dumped though, you can send your “friend” an aggressive rude angry gram from the Whopper Sacrifice Website. Gee I would be concerned if I was friends with anyone that thinks this might be a good idea.
What do you think? A bit of fun? Or another avenue for bullies?

My Turn
you could be right just another time waster, having said that I am a face book fan because my oversears friends are on it and Iove looking at their pictures. Also it is the only way some of them have met my daughter.
As for the applications I do not use them. I don'tg really get them

I totally agree with you on this it is the ultimate insult. Did you know though 233 906 friends have been sacrificed, according to the Whopper Sacrifice website?

I also use it sometimes, for the same reasons, it definitely has some good aspects. But it amazes how some of my friends live on it and tell so many aspects of their life to people.
