Further to Morgan Bells post do not name your child: Talula Does The Hula From Hawaii I found this little gem
Last year a couple from Wellington New Zealand were banned by the registry of births deaths and marriages in New Zealand from naming their child 4Real. Why? Because a name needs to be a sequence of characters.
In order to get around the registrars ruling they decided they would name their child Superman, but continue to call him 4Real. Obviously, it is ok to call your child Superman then.
New Zealand is not the only country with parents determined to give their children stupid names. In America there is a boy named Shi Thead. Put those two names together if you do not see what the problem with that is. Obviously, these parents don’t care if their child will be the target of school bullies.
Some countries do have censorship laws that protect children from their stupid parents. Sweden banned a couple from naming their child Metallica after the group. In Germany, it is against the law to name your child Adolf Hitler or Osama Bin Laden, but the French have the best idea of all. Parents there have to choose their babies name off an approved list designed to stop children being bullied.
Perhaps these parents should have followed the lead from some American couples with more money than sense, and employed a baby-naming consultant to name their child. For just $50 William and Reyes will consult and workshop your baby’s name. Alternatively, you could hire a numerologist for $500 to find a name with positive associations.
